The Biggest Writing This Week!

Hey Readers,

This week our writing was a bit different. We had 9 tasks to choose to do. The tasks are Letter making , Pop up card making, Haiku, Acrostic poem, Comic, Narrative, Recipe writing, Persuasive writing and Information reports. These tasks were easy but there was a twist as always you need to get at least 12 points or you could do more if you have finished everything. I got total 65 points which is the highest score in our class. And I got an award for excellence effort.

Student Summit

 Hey Readers,

Today we had student summit which most of you know about. Well basically people from different school chooses different subject related to DLO (Digital Learning Object). My favorite one was the second that YMS  school did because their chosen website was fun I should say that my school was the hbest (Scratch ) but I don't want to choose my school one because it might not be fair. We had 4 sessions. 3 of them I did not get it because of the network issue and it was not that clear explained. I learned how to use Easel.ly website. My only feed back is next time go slower and explain how to sign up clearly and carefully and don't repeat what you said again if people has problem getting in. Here is what I did.

Life Cycle Of A Dog (Not approx but okay)

My Most Concentrated Reading Task This Week !

 Hey Readers,

This week we had to choose at least 4 tasks from the options that we had. There were 9 tasks to choose from. I finished all 4 tasks before but when I asked the teacher he said it's at least so you can do more so I did 2 more. My first create task is choose at least 10 places and write their names in Maori. My second is the word search. I made it more interesting you need to find some other words. My third one is counting to 31 in Maori. My fourth is more details/information about the bird Ruru. My fifth one is myth of Matariki. My sixth one is the feelings booklet. Ki te pai au means I am good. We don't need to do other tasks for reading.😀 This was quite interesting tasks to do but some people really struggled.

My Own Science Experiment !

 Hey Readers,

Last week our teachers started to do some cool science experiment. My homeroom teacher did the coke and mentos experiment and it was a success. It went up approximately 30 centimetres. She used 8 mentos and 1.5 litre coke. My writing teacher did the egg drop with egg, water and salt. It was success when he added 8 teaspoons of salt. My maths teacher did the skittles in the milk. She used skittles, plate and milk. Mine was similar to my maths teacher but instead of skittles I used M&Ms and it was successful. It took more minutes than the skittles. This week we needed to finish our work. See my work. My test. My pair just mixed it up so the result was this but it was colourful before.

My Reading This Week !

 Hey Readers,

This week we need to do 2 Create Task which was hard but quality. Our first create task was to use an animation app like biteable and create a glossary with atleast 10 words and write the meaning for them but it was quite unusual when we use other language. This time Tongan is the language. Our second Create Task was to add some tourist places and some facts about Tonga using Piktochart or Google Drawing.

WALT use a range of strategies to build vocabulary knowledge.

My Writing This Week!

 Hey Readers,

This week our task was to write a narrative story with the animal problem picture that you have chose. This task was a quite interesting task but so hard but I managed to finish in the right time. Our WALT : write a narrrative story with a clear beginning,  middle and end.

Once upon a time there was a fluffy dog named Williams. He is a helpful guy with a kind heart. His bright eyes make people attracted towards him. When other animals are sad he appears and he makes them feel happy and they talk to him.He has white brown skin. His paws are tiny as turtles legs. He likes going on many adventures, especially cold and icy places. He once went to the mountain but his paws froze so he crept into the car and he tried to snuggle in between the soft leather seat. After a while when he had warmed up he tried to get out from the comforting cushion but he got stuck. He didn’t know what to do  so he made a loud squelch sound which made the owner stop the car. At that stage Williams was petrified and exhausted from wriggling vigorously in order to free himself from the jaws of the cold cushion. His owner got out of the car and opened the back seat door and yanked williams out of the crunchy cushion and set him free. That’s why he never sits in the back seat. He felt relieved and happy.

THE END :)
