My Writing This Week !!!!

 Hey People,

I am back!!!. This week our writing was little similar like last writing but instead you need to write it by your own from the 3 topics and find facts from the given videos. This Wednesday we had a film shooter coming in to take photos and videos for our new school website so soon check that out !This week our choices were how are rainbows formed and our second option was why is there no gravity in space and final is how is chocolate made. I chose how is chocolate is made because many people eat a lot of chocolate which is very bad for your health and the main reason is that I like chocolates and I was interested to know more about chocolates and explain/tell/teach you how/what make a delicious chocolate. I found out that some chocolates have mushrooms in it. Our task was to make a doc about the steps and what make a successful chocolate and some more information to include. I have a lot of information to share so here is mine.

How Is Chocolate Made

 Introduction

 Did you know that some chocolates have mushrooms in it ? Chocolates are easy to eat but hard to make. It has different steps and different ingredients and exact methods to have a perfect chocolate. These are the steps to make a chocolate.

 

The Purpose Of This Text

 

The purpose of this text is to explain and teach you how chocolates are made and how they are turned into chocolate.

 

Firstly, Cacao pods are cut open and the cocoa beans are scooped out. Secondly, it is fermented and dried in the sun for a week and then wash the beans. Thirdly, After that, they are crushed and half grinded. They grind the cocoa beans to separate the cocoa shells from the nibs. Then it is refined to get the gooey rich chocolate texture. They are grinded at high speeds. Then for the milk chocolate you add less cocoa and more milk. These are like Indian spice grinders that are used to make chai (Tea). Then they leave it grinding overnight and then they add the sugar in the morning. This is after it's gone through the roller mill then this gets thicker and thicker and thicker. You’ll see the chocolate like sugar granules. Then the machine will start grinding it solid if you want to ricoy all the particles in fat. Then they temper the chocolate. Tempering makes chocolate smooth and glossy. Then they are in the freezer overnight to make it hard. Information 1 : Chocolate can be in different tastes, colors, shapes and chocolate can have many toppings and a lot of different flavour too. Information 2 : If you want to make dark chocolate you add less milk and more cocoa to have the exact taste. 

 

Question to be answered : How is the cocoa butter extracted/collected to make white chocolate ? 

Conclusion

 Chocolates are yummy but bad for your teeth . They have different materials, different ingredients, different flavours, different methods and different shapes. It has some really hard steps too .

This week our writing task was to write an explanation writing about the article we have chosen. I chose the article called What Causes Tsunami. We needed to explain how/what causes tsunami. What is a tsunami ?

Tsunami is a large tide wave which causes a lot of damage and destruction.

          The purpose of this text

The purpose of this text is to tell you how/why what causes a tsunami.

Facts

The name Tsunami is a Japanese word which means harbour wall.

In 2004, a 9.1 magnitude earthquake hit on the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia

which resulted in a 50 m tsunami causing over 200,000 deaths and billions of

dollars worth of damage.

On the 11th of March in 2011, a 9.0 magnitude earthquake caused a powerful

tsunami that hit Japan  and killed more than 18,000 people. 

1st step of how tsunami is caused

Firstly, a tsunami is seen as moving from the ocean.This is because the wave

is just like the tide that we usually see in the ocean. This part is the first

sign of the tsunami.

2nd step of how tsunami is caused

This large wave can be up to 10x bigger than a normal wave and often hits

the shore and slows down to around 50 km/ph. The back of the wave is still

moving through deeper water, However it is going faster than the front

wave and when it reaches the shore the back wave crashes onto the place. This is why it goes up high.

Conclusion

Tsunamis causes a lot of damage.

Most tsunamis are caused by earthquakes & volcanic eruptions. Some are

caused by landslides and meteorites.

First the wave is seen as moving away from the ocean.

Then it becomes bigger and bigger then slows down to 50 km/ph, the back

wave is moving deeper but faster and finally crashes into the shore. This is

how tsunamis are caused.

My Writing Task This Week !!!!

 Hey Readers,

This week we have been given two options. The first option is they gave us a picture from Pobble 365 (The Dare) or you can write anything you want , its basically like free choice but you can't do somethings like Pick A Path or any other things like animation. Other mountains are

Mt Denali , Mt Rainier and Mt Saint Ellie.

Did you know that one of the most

famous locations is Niagara Falls?

Other attractions are Honolulu, River Mississippi ,

Yukon River ,

Walt Disney Land, Gold Gate Bridge, Grand Canyon,

National mall in Washington D.C and

Alamo mission in San Antonio.

Foods

The USA has some most favorite foods.

Did you know that the USA’s people like hamburgers?

Another favourite food is sausage and veg curry.

Other favourite foods are Barbeques, Steak, Salad

and Deep Dish pizza. Another fact is that they also

eat Apple Pie. Hmmm Yummy!!.

Official/Most Common Languages

The USA has few commonly used languages.

Did you know that one of the most common languages is

chinese.

Another fact is that some people also speak

Tagalog which includes the Philippines too. Other

languages are French, Spanish, Arabic and a few

people who speak Korean.

Public Holidays

The USA has quite a few public holidays.

Did you know that one of the public holidays is

Halloween ?

Another public holiday fact is that they even

celebrate Easter. Other public holidays are

Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving, Labor day and Veterans

(The remembrance of World War 1).

Conclusion

The USA is a beautiful country with many favourite

foods , They also have many tourist locations, they

even speak different languages and they have many

different public holidays.

Writing This Week !!!!!!

 Hey Readers,

This week Monday It was public holiday and on Wednesday it was our athletics day and I went to the zones. This week our task was to write a narrative or something about the picture they have given us from Pobble 365. 

Here is mine

One morning when I woke up, I saw my friends chatting about The Fish Island which I was curious to know more about. My friend told me that there’s a massive, gigantic fish and on top of it was an Island where some people lived which made me research more about it and visit it at least once. When I searched for it, I was fully blank and I could see the real picture of the fish. When I first looked at the picture it made me think that it’s a Mackerel and then I realized that it was a Tarakihi. Then in a fraction of an hour, I started to pack my things up and head over there. I stowed onto some old boat and I floated till I reached there. I smell the stinky and disgusting water. I was feeling very sad and worried for the fish. Then after 5 days staying there, I discovered that the problem was the fish could fly but the wings of the fish were hurtled very seriously. The more heavier it carried the more painful it was. After 3 days I said to the council to tell the people to vacate that place for 2 years. Then in about 2 days the place was emptied. Immediately, I started to break down the houses and destroy the whole place. Then 4 days later things were done. The only thing I needed to do was to heal the fish’s wings. But suddenly the fish started to move and it went up in the air like a hot air balloon. My heartbeat was fast. I mumbled please leave me on the ground. Then finally it landed back to the place it was stuck on and relieved me and flew back again. Finally I sigh. The End

Before And After

Hey Readers,

This week we need to write some thing about the picture that they have given. I have some other task to do so sorry I can't add details to it. 

Here is mine 

Before And After

Once upon a time far back in 1939 when world war 2 started ,

the factories started making weapons like guns and bombs.

However they did not notice that the gas was leaking and

there

were bullets and some matchsticks left near the gas, when a

person was trialing the gun, he accidentally pushed the tray

with

bullets and matchsticks in and when it hit the ground so fast

and hard, it exploded and fired then the fire spread all over

the place and boooom all the  materials fired. Many people died.

You can see the sky full of pollution. After a month it was still

the same , no changes other than leaves started to fall and the

whole place was dry with no animals or humans left except a

Vulture which was squealing and making some squelch noises. But

in a few days it was dead. No living things can live there. The

land was fully dried with no water in it. After a month old a

man researched and came with plans to resolve the problem and

came with some proper materials to brighten the awful dry land.

First he watered the whole place with a water tank for 2 weeks,

then when the land was fully wet, he started planting some

flowers and trees. After a month, the land was more beautiful

than before and it had many rare flowers, even mariegolds.

The place was entirely perfect with a city in about 5 Kilometres.

The Biggest Writing This Week!

Hey Readers,

This week our writing was a bit different. We had 9 tasks to choose to do. The tasks are Letter making , Pop up card making, Haiku, Acrostic poem, Comic, Narrative, Recipe writing, Persuasive writing and Information reports. These tasks were easy but there was a twist as always you need to get at least 12 points or you could do more if you have finished everything. I got total 65 points which is the highest score in our class. And I got an award for excellence effort.            

My Writing This Week!

 Hey Readers,

 This week our task was to write a narrative story with the animal problem picture that you have chose.This task was a quite interesting task but so hard but I managed to finish in the right time. Our WALT : write a narrrative story with a clear beginning,  middle and end.

Once upon a time there was a fluffy dog named Williams. He is a helpful guy with a kind heart. His bright eyes make people attracted towards him. When other animals are sad he appears and he makes them feel happy and they talk to him.He has white brown skin. His paws are tiny as turtles legs. He likes going on many adventures, especially cold and icy places. He once went to the mountain but his paws froze so he crept into the car and he tried to snuggle in between the soft leather seat. After a while when he had warmed up he tried to get out from the comforting cushion but he got stuck. He didn’t know what to do  so he made a loud squelch sound which made the owner stop the car. At that stage Williams was petrified and exhausted from wriggling vigorously in order to free himself from the jaws of the cold cushion. His owner got out of the car and opened the back seat door and yanked williams out of the crunchy cushion and set him free. That’s why he never sits in the back seat. He felt relieved and happy.

My Animal Monster Writting

Hey Readers,

Last week our class started on animal monster which is like you need to choose 4 animal and make it into one animal and then this week we need to write a description of the animals that you chose and why do did you chose these animals.  We are learning to introduce the characters into the narrative.Here is mine. 

Panphin’s Description

My animal  monster is called Panphin. The body is a cat’s body which looks like a cheetah.It has black - Triangular stripes which helps it to identify the different kind of spies. My monster has a face of a panda and an eagle's beak which is yellow and very sharp.The legs are cat legs which have cute paws but it isn’t it could kill a buffalo or a lion. The tail is the same as a dolphin tail which is greasy and pointy. This Monstrous creature is mixed with four animals. Dolphin’s tail, Eagle’s beak , cat legs and body and a face of a panda. I don’t know if it’s humble but it’s very fluffy and soft. This animal was published in August 2020. The person who invented was Jo. This animal is cold - blooded. This new fluffy-weird looking animal lives in dark and cold places. This kind of spies are rare and there are less than 200 spies left in this world. This creature loves humans so don’t be scared. It’s favourite food is green foods like Asparagus. It will be coming out all morning every day. This animal can’t fly because the legs are short. Please save this creature.

              India has a lot of different dances.

Did you know that one of the famous dance of India is Bharathanatiyam(Famous dance of south India).Another traditional dance is kuchipudi (Keral’s traditional dance).

Traditional Dress

India has some traditional dresses.

Did you know that Indian women wear saree. Another fact is Indian men wear dhoti.Other dresses are Chudidhar and pattu pavadai.

 Conclusion

India is a beautiful country. People in India have a different food habit, They also have some dances, They have many famous people and wear some unusual dress.

 Did you know that bat’s biggest fear is disease.Another fact is that one of their predators are snakes.Their predators are owls, hawks and wombats.

Bats have some physical features. 

 Did you know that bats weigh approximately 7 KG.Did you know that their height is approximately 5 M.The largest bats have a wing sean of about 5 feet. 

 Food 

 Bats eat lots of foods. 

 Did you know that bats eat mosquitoes.Another fact is is that they eat rootworm larvae.They also eat beetles,moths,grasshoppers, scorpions ,centipedes, ants, flies and crickets.Did you know that they also eat leafhoppers.

Bats are weird and fierceful creatures.They have many physical features, they eat lots of food, they even have predators and they don’t live in many places.
