My Reading Task This Week !!!!

 Hey Readers,

This week our task was to choose a book from the book choices, read it and write a summary about it. I read the book called Earth Paints. This book is basically a book teaching how do the people from older generations and the people from small areas/villages/town made paints, brushes and what kind of paper they used to make an aboriginal art. This book was a bit boring because it did not have enough information and things and even the purpose of this text. Anyway it was good to know that paint brushes are made from bamboos and some other trees. Our task was to create a DLO with the summary in 5-6 sentences and blog it !. And our second task was to

My Reading This Week !!!

 Hey Readers,

This week our task to do was similar with our last week's work infact it was the same. We needed to at least finish and blog our 2 or 3 create tasks at the end of the week. My first create task is the quiz about elephant I chose these kind of questions because you readers maybe know some of the answers. I chose this elephant book because I like elephants and I have actually went a ride on them. My second create task is the word search. I chose these kind of words because if you have been onto the elephant quiz I have made you might know some of the words from there. My third task is the Venn diagram which i chose to compare both elephants and tigers because I already know some similarities and the differences and moreover it would be easier if you have done the quiz and the word search.

WALT : To make connection to self, world and other texts.

My fifth one is myth of Matariki. My sixth one is the feelings booklet. Ki te pai au means I am good. We don't need to do other tasks for reading.😀 This was quite interesting tasks to do but some people really struggled.

My Reading This Week !

 Hey Readers,

This week our create task was to make an DLO about the book you have chose but you need to do your own story with the same moral. My book title is called The little boy and the sea and the book I read was rata and the tree. The book is about a man who wants his people to be safe from the battle of the wind god and the sea god. So he was searching a perfect tree to make a boat for days and finally he finds one and started cutting it when he came back the next day the tree was back fixed and he kept on doing this every day and every day it turns back the same way it was before and one day he was watching while the creatures did some magic and fixed it back with an anger he said why did you do this? by saying this he left. The next day he couldn't believe his eyes and the eagle said this surprise is for you but remember whenever you cut or use things you need to thank it. The surprise was a long huge boat. I chose to depict this way because I thought it would be easier to understand. Our focus/We Are Learning To use prior knowledge and information from the text to create something new. Comment down below your suggestions. I made the mom faint because the water is poisonous.

Reading This Week

Hey Readers,
Welcome back to my blog. This week's work is similar with my last week's work. But my Chromebook didn't work so I can't blog or finish it. Our create task was to make an animation from the book that you have chosen but you only need to do main scene. I wanted to depict this way because I thought it would be easier . I know it's lazy but I don't know why. If you don't want to make an animation you can either draw it like illustrating or you can use google drawing. Reply with a Thoughtful, a Helpful, A Greeting, Positive and what can I do better next time.WALT monitor our reading to ensure we have a full and deep understanding of what we read. The hard part for me was getting background.

Reading This Week!

Hey Readers,
This week we had a new task call KWL which stands for Knowledge, Want and Learned.
We had the usual task. People were so good at it.I just want to share it with you. Here is mine.

What I think I know:

They live in dark places.

They are not endangered.

They might live in Australia.

What I want to find out:

Which Country do they live in ?

What are their physical characteristics?

What food do they eat?

What do their babies eat or do in leisure time?

How many babies can they give birth to in one day?

What we have learned:

They are the large, burrowing marsupials in the world.

They have a thick neck.

They have a body that is sturdy with a short tail and short, powerful legs and a blunt shaped face.

Their burrows can be upto 30m long.

They spend half of their life in the burrows.

Their burrow helps protects them from heat, bushfires, cold, rain and predators.
